Withdrawal From #Mali: French President Says Fight Against Terrorism Remains Priority
With Mali’s absence from the European Union-African Union summit in Brussels conspicuous, both French President Emmanuel Macron and Senegalese President Macky Sall have addressed the issue of the impact of the Sahel country’s demand for France to pull out its forces “without delay”. Macron says “the priority must remain the fight against terrorism” and that the withdrawal does not signify a full abandonment of the Sahel nation.
