Calvin is president of RC Communications DC, a leading public relations and branding firm in Washington, DC where he advises his high-level clients – from US government agencies and foreign heads of state to human rights advocates and multinational corporations – on crisis management, media relations, and communications strategies.
Throughout his career, Calvin held several leadership roles where he advised embassies, international organizations, foundations & multinational corporations on their strategic communications, public affairs & media outreach. Calvin has managed multi-million dollar trade & investment promotional campaigns for the Kingdom of Morocco & the Republic of Ecuador, the award winning “Free Them Now” campaign to liberate Moroccan POWs in Algeria (International Public Relations Association) as well as successful Millennium Challenge Corp campaigns for Togo and Burkina Faso. He has also been an elections advisor for clients in Mali, Indonesia, Gabon, and Benin.
Calvin is a graduate of the NC School of Science & Mathematics & Duke University (Political Science & French). Calvin was a Fulbright Scholar to Morocco & has studied in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Paris, France. Calvin speaks English, French, Spanish & Arabic.
Calvin is a member of the Duke University Library Advisory Board (2023-2026) and served as secretary of the Board of Directors of Fulbright Association National Capital Chapter. Calvin appears regularly in US and international media to provide unique insight and perspectives on foreign affairs, US politics, current events and pop culture.
