Calvin is principal and co-founder founder of RC Communications DC, a leading public relations and branding firm in Washington, DC where he advises his high-level clients – from US government agencies and foreign heads of state to human rights advocates and multinational corporations – on crisis management, media relations, and communications strategies.
Before co-founding RC Communications DC in 2014, Calvin held several leadership roles where he advised embassies, international organizations, foundations, corporations and police departments on their crisis response plans, strategic communications, public affairs & media outreach.
Calvin has managed multimillion dollar trade & investment promotional campaigns for the Kingdom of Morocco & the Republic of Ecuador, the award winning “Free Them Now” campaign to liberate Moroccan POWs in Algeria (International Public Relations Association) as well as successful Millennium Challenge Corporation campaigns for Togo and Burkina Faso. He has also been an elections advisor in Mali, Indonesia, Gabon, and Benin. During the 2016 US presidential elections, Calvin was the spokesperson for the government agency charged with carrying out and securing both the primary and general elections in Washington, DC.
Calvin has authored or been quoted as an expert in dozens of articles and segments in US and international media. Calvin is a Duke University graduate who was a Fulbright Scholar to Morocco and does media appearances, analyses, and commentaries in English, French, and Spanish.
